What is the meaning of life?  Does prayer and meditation produce results?
What is wisdom? Where is truth?  Why are we here?  How big is the universe?

"Thee are two aspects of nature: the perishable and the imperishable.  All life in this world belongs to the former, the unchanging element belongs to the later" Bhagavad Gita 15

Spirit or Ego

Do we have a spirit or are we a spirit?  Is our spirit the same as our soul?  How does the ego affect the spirit?  These are fundamental questions often asked.

Is it better to be right or kind?  We seemingly face a daily challenge to tame our ego.  Although the more we exercise the spirit, the more detached the ego becomes.

This section will deal with the conflict of these two forces in our lives.  Both the spirit and the ego interact with inversely proportional presence in our lives.  The spirit is what we strive to develop and the ego is what we strive abandon.  This relationship can be in perfect balance one day and out of no where develop a malfunction taking us back to the beginning of the struggle.

The path to enlightenment can only be found through the spirit.  The ego is the main obstacle in the path.  For some reason we fall into the trap of needing to be right.  Somehow that makes us feel important.  How much more important we are if we are lead by the spirit.

A Psalm of Life - Longfellow

Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.
